Facilitation

Effective facilitation is all about supporting a group of people in having a more meaningful, useful and productive conversation; a neutral third party helping them to reach agreement and move forward.

It's not about influencing the discussion; it's about enabling the discussion.

There are a number of different tools and techniques that we can employ when acting as a facilitator, including:

   *Encouraging team working, helping groups get to know each other, communicate better and recognise the

    different strengths people bring.

   *Group learning, helping participants share experiences and ideas, drawing out key themes and moving

    forward as a collective.

   *Challenging groups; helping them to think differently and break away from the status quo, helping them grow

     in new ways.

   *Group coaching, helping focus on core issues and motivating them towards action.
